Implementation of an OpenADR interface provides Interoperability between Utility-managed auto DR programs and Energy Management and control vendor’s equipment. Currently, each of the California Investor Owned Utilities, utilize OpenADR to publish their auto DR signals.
The OpenADR developer’s program was developed by Akuacom to support the implementation of the OpenADR standard in energy control systems. The developer’s program is intended for control and EMS vendors to be able to develop OpenADR client software so that they are able to receive OpenADR signals issued by the utilities.
Developers in the program will be provided with an account on the Akuacom test Demand Response Automation Server (DRAS). Developers will receive an administrative login that will give them access to an operator screen that can be used for defining demand response events. Akuacom will also set up 4 client accounts that can be used to connect to the DRAS through a REST interface.
Qualified suppliers to the Energy industry can apply for access to the developer’s program by sending a request to devprog@akuacom.com.
